History channel “Warriors”

In January 2009, TV presenter and Military veteran Terry Shappert, together with his crew visited Malta to shoot an episode of their new documentary ‘Warriors’ airing this summer on History Channel. Andrei Xuereb was asked to give a demonstration on the kind of sword fighting practiced by the Knights Hospitallier during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565.

Andrei recalls this day... "Terry was very pleasant and easy to work with. Although he is an expert and experienced in many different fighting styles, he was very keen to learn something new. After a little bit of instruction on footwork and certain particular techniques of this period, Terry and I were ready to go in front of the camera. Overall it was a very nice experience and I wish to take this opportunity to thank Terry and all his crew for this opportunity and great WELL DONE for the whole ‘Warriors’ documentary.”
