Parrying Dagger

(aka Main Gauche or Left Handed Dagger)

The dagger is used primarily to parry an attack of the rapier and in some cases used to stab the opponent when closing the distance. It is held in the left hand (If you are right-handed).

Many varieties of parrying daggers existed but the most common ones used are the ones with a simple cross guard and protective ring, and the ones with a 'sail' guard.
